Cementitious Wood Fiber (Tectum) Roof Decks

Tectum roof decks offer several benefits to any roofing project

Cementitious Wood Fiber (Tectum) Roof Decks are installed by Barrier Corp. in both new construction and reroofing applications to control sound absorption. They can be installed on flat roofs or pitched roofs.  Cementitious Wood Fiber Roof Decks are made of aspen wood shaving and portland cement that is molded under presssure into various types of panels that can be set into bulb tees or glued and screwed directly to the joists.

Tectum panels offer:

  • Excellent insulation value.
  • High sound absorption.
  • A decorative, textured “Shredded Wheat” finish.

Tectum panels are manufactured for a variety of roofing needs that include:

  • Tectum I, which provides a standard cementitious wood-fiber panel.
  • Tectum III and E Systems, which both provide a composite panel made of 1.50" of Tectum, EPS insulation and 7/16" OSB sheathing with a slip-resistant surface.
  • Tectum NS, which provides a composite panel with the addition of a nailable surface.

Whether your roof is new or old, sloped or flat, Barrier Corp. offers a Tectum Roof System that meets your needs.
